Astoria Ivory Granite

Astoria Ivory is a form of Granite found in Madurai District, Tamilnadu. Astoria granite is predominantly a creamy gold color which captures the eye from afar. This gold can range all the way from a slightly off white color – to a color that resembles wet sand. The creamy gold is mixed with darker brown spots and occasionally brown veins. The creamy gold color upon closer inspection is actually infused with a light white color that comes from the quartz crystals that are present in the stone. This gives the appearance of a slight twinkle from afar which is a hallmark of this truly stunning stone. The dark brown veins can range in colour from only slightly darker than the golden bedrock – right through to almost black in color.
